Madison City Farmers Market
Where: Trinity Baptist Church, 1088 Hughes Road, Madison When: Saturdays; the 2026 season began April 11. Sales begin at 8 a.m., and vendors may not sell before the market opens, its FAQ says. Weather: open rain or shine. The market closes only for severe weather such as lightning, high winds or extreme heat. Some craft vendors may skip rainy days. Holidays: open as usual on holiday weekends.
Founded in 2007, the market calls itself the area’s original producer-only market: everything is grown or made by the person selling it, within 100 miles of the market, and reselling is not allowed. Farmers get priority, according to its information page.
What you will find: vegetables, fruit, cheese, eggs, meat, milk, herbs, honey, jams, relishes, baked goods, plants and flowers, plus handmade cards, soaps, lotions, candles, woodwork and sewn goods, the market’s home page says.
Rules for shoppers:
- Leashed, friendly pets are welcome; clean up after them.
- No soliciting, political campaigning or fundraising at the market.
The market has not posted the last Saturday of its 2026 season. Its website lists pumpkins and fall decorations among the products it is seeking from vendors, so fall goods are part of the mix. Check the market’s website or its Facebook page before you go late in the year.
Selling: vendors apply each year online through the market’s application. The market says it especially needs eggs, vegetables, strawberries, food trucks, ice cream, drinks, honey, pumpkins, hanging baskets, jams and artisan crafts.
