Madison has two public high school football teams, both run by Madison City Schools: the Bob Jones Patriots, at 650 Hughes Road, and the James Clemens Jets, at 11306 County Line Road. They met on Sept. 4 in a game MaxPreps lists as a region game for both. The regular season is over. James Clemens finished 8-2 and won 6A Region 4 at 7-0, and Bob Jones finished 5-5, according to MaxPreps. Both are in the state playoffs.

The crosstown game

The Alabama High School Athletic Association’s first-round schedule has Bob Jones (5-5) at home against Hoover (4-6) on Friday, Nov. 6, one of eight Class 6A first-round games. The city’s calendar lists the game at 7 p.m. at Madison City Stadium, 211 Celtic Drive.
